We’re looking for an enthusiastic Party Host to join the Smudge Artspace team! The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator who brings warmth, creativity, and a welcoming presence to our vibrant events. This role also offers exciting pathways into teaching our process art classes, holiday programs, workshops, and other creative opportunities at Smudge.
Key Responsibilites
Facilitate engaging, process-based art activities.
Set up, organise, and pack down our Artspace efficiently and effectively.
Lead events with confidence, guiding children (and adults) through creative exploration and experimentation.
Foster a welcoming, joyful atmosphere for families, ensuring positive experiences for all.
Represent Smudge Artspace’s mission and values, becoming a valued ambassador of our community.
Available to host at least one day on weekends.
Interested in further teaching opportunities (optional but encouraged).
Qualifications:
Experienced educator (early childhood or primary preferred).
Skilled at hosting and interacting warmly with large groups of children and adults.
Passionate about creating welcoming, joyful spaces that spark creativity and exploration.
Comfortable embracing and managing the creative mess and possessing strong organisational skills.
A collaborative team player who loves working closely with others.
